The ODC-120R serial interface converters can be used to handle RS-232 or RS-422/485 serial devices to a fiber ring mode. The advantages to take shape the ring is that when a connecting point transmits a signal, the signal travels around the ring until it returns back to the transmitting unit. You can set up fiber rings that have a long distance easily with ODC-120R.
The latest ODC-120R brings out more superiority like wide range power input from 12 to 48VDC, and automatic baudrate detection. Even if a device’s baudrate is altered, the signal will still be transmitted through the converter without any data loss.
