  • What safety certification and report does Hoatech provide?

    CE and FCC certifications are usually available for OEM products. 

  • What should I do if screen pixelated?

    The pixilation occurs when video bit rate is too high. Please follow the recommended bit rate in Appendix of the instruction manual to avoid screen pixelated. 

  • Why my set-top box/Digital TV only scan to 1 channel when in cascade mode?

    Please check your LCN, Service ID and Program ID set to different number.  Some Television can be only scan by Service ID. 

  • What can I do if the ‘Error Message: Illegal Input’ displayed?

    This message will only show up when the Stream setting is exceeding the setting range. Parameter setting ranges - as detailed in the instruction manual.

  • What happens if the remote upgrade process fails?

    The modulator/encoder itself will stay at the previous version.

  • How can I upgrade firmware to modulator/encoder?

    Only the models with LAN port allow remote upgrade, please enter ‘System-Upgrade code’ to perform upgrade.  

  • What is the default IP address of modulator/encoder?

    You can enter ‘System-Retrieve system IP’ to check the default IP address.
    If you want to change the IP address, please enter ‘System-Setup IP’ and remember to disable DHCP before IP setting. 

  • Any tools or instructions if forgets the password of the web interface?

    Execute ‘System- reset system – reset to default’ via LCD display and Ctrl buttons.
    The default password is ‘1234’ after reset to default performed.

  • How to continue with the message " BOOT SYSTEM PLEASE WAIT" in Encoder or Modulator?

    Normally the modulator/encoder will enter the homepage in 90 second after boot up message.
    If it did not continue or stuck at boot up message, there might be some damage to components. In this case, please contact the RMA support team.

  • Why can’t the web interface display information properly on browser (IE9/IE10/IE11/Chrome/Firefox)?

    Please delete the browsing history before launch the web browser.
